Core competencies for research librarians- CARL-ABRC

Those of us who work in the health sciences can require core competencies in a variety of areas such as patient education, research, information management, knowledge management and archives. Many of us work in more than one area, requiring multiple sets of core competencies. Not only can this be confusing for our employers, it can be for us as well! Is it time to bring them all together? As promised during the Annual General Meeting of the ASTED3s conference on November 3, here is the first in a series of posts linking to existing core competencies documents for librarians in the health sciences.
